Mellow Yellow



Hello everyone! On a sick day like this I think the colour of happiness, Yellow is indeed needed. Another card that has no stamps--jeez I am lucky that my creative juices are expanding these days LOL. One my tricks when doing a monochromatic piece is using different shades from the same colour family. For instance, I used Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed and Brushed Corduroy DIs. Although Brushed Corduroy was more of a brown I utilized it for shadows. That being said, kraft cardstock is the perfect colour for the diecut sentiment! To add more texture I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch to frame the focal point of the card. P.S. This was my first ever in-laid die cut technique! It was soooo much fun! I hope you like it!

I found some paper flowers in my stash and it was perfect for the photo shoot!

    That's a beautiful card. And it shows that an only yellow card does not have to look boring at all!!! Your shading with the different ink pads is great. Thanks for joining our "mellow yellow" fun this week.
