Shout Out Tuesday #8

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to apologize that I have not been very active lately on my blog and Instagram, school has been taking so much of my crafting time--especially now that it is final exam season. I promise that once this term is over I will be back with great inspirations! Anyway, on a happier note please join me and welcome the featured crafter for today, Liz! My first impression of her work is clean lines and vibrant colours. Although it doesn't stop there--she is very versatile in her craft! I also noticed on her blog that she has been spotted by renowned manufacturers through their challenge blogs--way to go girl! Crafting aside, I feel that Liz is very sweet. We connected through Instagram and had some chats and can I say that aura of happiness and kindness transcends!

Shout Out Tuesday #7

Hello everyone! For this week's featured creative individual is none other than Ms. Lara! I have been following her on Instagram since she started using one. I am actually an avid fan and I witnessed how her blog evolved. Not only she is crafty but she also owns a shop filled with creative products from famous brands. I know that she used to have her shop via Etsy and now she has a full website for creative consumers to enjoy. Her shop carries from Lawn Fawn to Tim Holtz, planner accessories to card making supplies--it is endless! I personally feel that Lara haven't changed given the fact of her great business success. She is still super friendly to everyone on Instagram and responds to any comment--that is true commitment and amazing customer service, I must say! Oh, did I mention that her shop ships worldwide (with affordable shipping)!

Hello everyone! Happy Saint Patrick's Day! First of all I want to apologize for posting this super late than usual, our neighbourhood had no power for almost eight hours. On happier note I want to present to you an amazing crafter, Jackie! Her style is clean, which I love! She is very sweet and I enjoy our chats on Instagram. She has a shop at Etsy that showcases her cardmaking skills, moreover she makes sweet planner accessories and other art pieces! For the longest time I feel that the whole planner and cardmaking communities overlap to some extent and Jackie is the perfect example! So for all of you who are looking for inspiration and plans to jazz up your planners you should check her out!

Blue & Green Celebration

Hello everyone! It has been a busy week for me but on a happier note I can sense the Spring is just around the corner at my end of the globe. I did created something simple today and went back to the basics of Distress Inks. I wanted to see if my sponging skills are still there - LOL. I went with a skinny and tall shape with one curved edge to add some interest. I was so excited to use my white pigment ink because I never get to use them. I love how it added texture to the gradient of blues and greens. I feel that this creation is perfect for any special man! I hope you like it!

xoxo,
Brian

Adding faux stitching lines amplifies the essence of "handmade"

I also used the same pen to add some shadows on the sentiment

Shout Out Tuesday #5

Hello everyone! It is Shout Out Tuesday again here at Sweetened Greetings. Today I want to feature Ms. Sharna Anne! She has really pretty creations.  I actually enjoy viewing her Instagram account when I am encountering a crafter's block because it gives me inspiration to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone. I noticed that she is a big fan of Lawn Fawn -- who isn't anyway? But the way she utilizes the cute images is very diverse. She uses Copics, Distress Inks, and water colour to add a touch of Sharna! She is also an active participant to blog challenges, well why not? If you are an amazing photographer like her then I think sharing your creations to the world is just bound to happen. Oh, I just learned this now.... she is Canadian! And we are from the same province! OMG I am just ecstatic EH?

Layers of Circles

Hello everyone! I would like to share another girly themed card with all of you. Yesterday's post was quite similar but has a more "cartoony" image, this one has more sophistication and has an artsy feel to it, I find at least. I enjoyed doing the layering technique on this piece. I started with a one layer and used my good old Cuttlebug to die cut the circles. To make the circles raised I did several of the same size and glued them together. To add more interest I did various "levels" per circle. I hope you enjoy it!

xoxo,
Brian

Sometimes a bold sentiment is all that's needed

Using various shades of pinks and purple creates a beautiful gradient of softness

Here you can actually see the beauty of having different levels of the circles, it just adds more interest!
