Baby Boy

Hello everyone! I am very excited to share this cute baby shower card that I made for my program advisor at my university. She has been very helpful on my journey as a student. I do not have a lot of baby shower themed stamps or patterns so instead of buying new materials I decided to work with what I have. Once, she told me that she is having a baby boy I immediately thought about a blue and yellow colour combo. I've never blended ink like such (blue-highlighting the sentiment and yellow for the entire background), so it was definitely a new adventure for me! The trail of hearts were the finishing touches and I think it creates a visual trail to the main focal image, the super duper cute carousel! I hope you guys enjoy this as much as she did!

This image is one of my favourites from Lawn Fawn! Very versatile as it can be used for birthdays, baby showers or even a hello card!

The photo doesn't do it justice but I used a clear embossing powder on the hearts prior to die cutting it--I find it easier that way than die cutting and then heat embossing, especially on tiny pieces. The clear embossing powder added shine and texture.

The handwritten border sentiment was perfect for this creation!

A simple polka-dot patterned paper was the perfect choice for mat! It doesn't take away the beauty of the design of the entirety of the card.

My Door Is Always Open

I made this card for my very good friend, Miranda. She is also a card maker and we have known each other for hmm... too long to count LOL. We are also neighbours, hence I thought the Bitty Bungalows stamp set from Paper Smooches is perfect for this creation. I made the hills from some left over patterned paper and inked it with Brushed Corduroy DI. I love making scenes like this because it is so cute! I thought of using my Copics for the houses and trees but I sort of struggled since the images were quite detailed. So I went and utilized my coloured pencils and mineral spirit.

Thank you so much Mir for being such an inspiration and more so, an amazing friend!

Brian

I only adhere the bottom part the hills so I can tuck in any elements between

I did a tone on tone look for the sky and clouds using Tumbled Glass DI

I love using my scraps for flags and banners

Big Pink Thanks!

Hello everyone! Winter Term at university is finally over and I am back to craft like a crazy person-LOL. I would like to send BIG THANKS to all the people who sent me PM's on Instagram! It makes my heart sing knowing that I am missed by my fellow crafters. Sweet and short notes like such are one of the many reasons why I get motivated on sharing my work in social media. I also missed everyone and so excited to start scrolling down my IG news feed and see inspirational creations by everyone!

I made this card for my program advisor at my university. She was very helpful to me in terms of my career path and studies. So I thought she deserved something sweet and pink! I hope you like this as much as she did!

I thought I use my kraft cardstock as a complimentary colour of the pink shades

I am in love with this word die! I like the chunky font (especially for adhering purposes -LOL)

The trail of hearts not only adds interest but also a visual trail to the sentiment
