Colourful Greetings

Happy Monday everyone! One of my very good friends from university asked me to make a colourful unicorn card for her friend Down Under. I have several unicorn images from different manufacturers but hands down this one is my favourite! I love how cartoony this unicorn looks and the other images from the set.

I went with the classic rainbow colour scheme--even the base patterned cardstock. One technique that I like when dealing with a collection of images is clustering. By doing so, a focal point of interest is created. I used a white cardstock with stitched edges, I felt that a simple mat for my clourful cluster was perfect. I hope you guys enjoy this!

Brian

What a colourful cluster!

A neutral gray for the sentiment

Happy Father's Day Papa!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! I dedicate this post to my papa. He has been an inspiration ever since I was little. He supported me on my life decisions and he has sacrificed a lot for our family. This card is simple and sweet, just like my papa. I hope you guys like it!

Father's Day: Blues, Specs and Tie

One more sleep and it is Father's Day! I enjoyed creating my own background on this creation! Repeating a smaller image all over can achieve an interesting image. Moreover, with the versamark & distress inks technique can create a gradient of colours while resisting the image. The inlaid panel with the tie was an afterthought actually. I felt like I need to add some fun and we all know it is harder to embellish masculine cards than any other themed cards LOL. The sentiment was stamped on a piece of vellum to diffuse the intensity of the background.

Stitched rectangle dies is a must for any card maker!

I used a "charcoal" embossing powder by Recollections. I like how it is blacks and grays with a hint of sparkle.

Happy Dad's Day!--almost LOL
