Scraps Anyone?

One of the biggest questions I always ask myself is, "What do I do with my scraps?" I started collecting 12 x 12 paper pads and cardstock way back when and I have sooo much (I am pretty sure all of you can relate). During my Cricut obsession days I would have tons of negatives in random shapes and sizes and we all know that it is hard to organize such! Finally one day, I came to a solution on what to do with precious paper and cardstock.

Every time I use paper and cardstock to die cut or cut I store them in a folder. Once a week to two weeks I go through my stash of papers and just go on a cutting frenzy. Since the most common size of cards that I make are 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches, I cut my scrap into 5 1/4 x 4 inches and colour coordinate them. Well, this usually applies to papers that are measured 12 x 12 inches originally so what do I do with my 6 x 6 inches left over papers? I use one of my most favourite dies ever, Tag You Are It by Lawn Fawn. After die cutting them into cute tags I organized it by colour and put them in a ring binder.

These options make my crafting easier and organized, especially when I have to make something quick or add a tag for an impromptu gift. I hope you enjoyed this post and find it useful.

Here is my collection of tags from my scrap stash.
These ones are much smaller. I like to layer my tags to add interest and colour!
Having a stash of tags makes my life easier for those impromptu birthday presents!--all you need is a cute sentiment stamp and some bakers twine and voila! I also use them as part of my packaging when someone orders handmade cards from me.
