No Stamps?!

Hello everyone! Jeez this piece was a challenge for me--no stamps?! On a happier note I was able to use some of my neglected patterned paper and cardstock. It has been a while since I used such materials. When I made this I was having one of those "crafter's block" moments, so I went on Pinterest and found a bunch of colour combination pins! Below is the one that served as my colour inspiration for this piece.

The Perfect Palette
I find this colour combo quite interesting because I for one rarely use black on my creations. However, after seeing this eye-catching cake piece I was like, "Hmm... this looks good (I bet it tastes good too--LOL)". I hope you like it!

A bold solid die cut sentiment is perfect for a piece with lots of patterns.

Layering different sizes of flowers adds an interest and whimsy!

Bold colours--I love it!

Friends Forever

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! One of my very good friends, Mir, is a fabulous crafter. I adore her style using mostly Distress Inks and Dylusions. I try to do that style but I am one of those crafters who are more inclined to cutesy-patootsie type of pieces (e.g., Lawn Fawn, Paper Smooches, etc.) Once in a while I get really inspired to create more "artsy" type of cards--thank you so much Miranda for being an inspiration and pushing my capabilities! I made this card with her in mind, both the techniques and the sentiment were inspired by her creativity!

Brian

I am currently obsessed with the "lifting" technique using the same layer. I love how it adds texture and interest!

Shout Out Tuesday #3

Hello everyone! It is Tuesday again and that means it is SHOUT OUT time! This week's featured crafter is not only uber creative but super pretty as well, it is none other than Ms. Ruby! Ruby and I met on Instagram, I enjoy browsing through her account because it exudes creativity and attention to detail. That being said there is not wonder why she is part of a Design Team for a stamp company that offers fabulous images!

Make sure you check out her social media for inspiration:

Canine Birthday!

Hello everyone! I had fun using gamsol and coloured pencils creating this card. It takes longer to blend than Copic Markers but it is worth it. I have been planning to create a background scene with Distress Inks for the longest time and finally I had time to do it on this piece. I hope you like it!

Brian

The canines are just adorable with their little party hats!

The banner flags add a festive feel to the scene

Let's celebrate!
